General Laborer (Paint Booth) (Red Deer)

Basic Employee Responsibilities Every Q2 ALS employee is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Specific responsibilities include the following: - Leading by example by following established Quality, Health and Safety policies & procedures. - Showing respect and pride for facilities and equipment. - Being responsible – on time for work and taking breaks during designated times. - Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed. Position Specific Responsibilities - Inspection of parts to be painted - Operate paint booth, load and unload - Move material to and from painting area - Clean, drift, protect threads on all barrels prior to painting - Operate cut off saw - Wrap/stamp finished goods - Follow instructions and safe working procedures - Process work orders - Regular machine and work area cleaning - Regular preventive maintenance - Other similar duties as requested by supervisor Required Specific Responsibilities - Mechanical aptitude. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing. - Ability to measure pieces using measuring equipment to verify that the size meets the specifications. - Ability to work independently. - When required, be part of a team, fellow operators and management to co-ordinate efforts to ensure that machines are used efficiently, and work priorities are well managed. - Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience. Physical Demands - Periodic heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. - Standing for 8 hours - Machine shop environment - Inside work We appreciate your interest in this role.
