Upholsterer (Red Deer County)

Outlaw Eagle Manufacturing Ltd is looking for an upholsterer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills in a unique job. Responsibilities Using power and hand tools, apply and install batting, foam, poly-filler and cut fabric to wooden and plastic framework in the new assembly and reconditioning of boats. Operate sewing equipment, staple guns, knife cutters and other industrial equipment. Attach finishes, including buttons, trim and other accessories, to complete orders according to specifications. Accurately measure cut and bend metal tubing framework for boat tops. Measure and cut fabric pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions. Read work orders and maintain production deadlines, maintain communication with in-house sales managers regarding work-load. Determine fabric inventory and place orders, maintain proper inventory levels. Discuss complications or assembly line slow-downs with supervisors and brainstorm solutions for increased productivity.
