Construction Labourer (Lacombe)

Job Overview Join our team at meridian beach on Gull lake Alberta as a Construction Labourer and work outdoors bringing projects to life! Must have transport to work site. The team will work on a variety or projects including reassemebly of old bridges using heavy timbers, carpentry and chainsaw work, foundations , fencing and misc. landscaping including operation of skid steer . Fitness and strength helpful. We may have a foreman role available for the right person , ensuring that construction operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities - Assist with site prep., including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and handling materials - Use hand tools, chainsaw, sledges, jacks and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, fitting and bolting together timbers - Cribbing masonry, and concrete finishing experience useful - Read construction drawings and show initiative on assigned tasks. - Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely when required for material handling - safety and first aid training useful plus ability to carefully follow instructions - Maintain cleanliness of the worksite by disposing of waste materials and ensuring all tools are stored properly , may involve soem painting Requirements - Prefer experience with chainsaw, sledge and power tools, carpentry with heavy timbers - experince cribbing and rebar tying useful but can train - could include Ability to operate skid steer safely and effectively - Knowledge of construction plans is advantageous - physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials - Teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality. - Relevant certifications in construction inspection, scaffolding safety or equipment operation are beneficial but not required Join us as a Construction Labourer where every day offers new challenges and opportunities to grow your skills!
