Instrumentation and Control Technician Instructor - Sessional School of Trades and Technology is looking for one Sessional Instructor for the 2026/27 Academic Year to teach and develop curriculum in the Instrumentation and Control Technician Apprenticeship program. The position will begin on August 11, 2026. Job Duties - Maintain, develop, and instruct the theory and shop components of the Alberta Instrumentation and Control Technician Apprenticeship program. - Ongoing planning and curriculum review. - Participate in school, program, and other polytechnic service committees, program promotion and student recruitment. Qualifications - Alberta Journeyperson Certificate as Instrumentation and Control Technician. - Minimum 5 years post‑Journeyperson work experience. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Effective time management and organizational skills. - Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others. - Comfortable with public speaking and able to convey course topics to diverse students and learning styles. Preferred Qualifications - Experience teaching post‑secondary learners through both in‑person and online formats. - Journeyperson certification in one or more additional related trades. - Management or leadership experience.
