The Paul Dojack Youth Centre is seeking a full-time highly motivated Program Facilitator, to facilitate cognitive-behavioural programs at the Paul Dojack Youth Centre. As the successful candidate, your duties will include supporting the Program Team in the effective delivery of programming and mentorship to youth in custody, to promote and develop integrated case management with effective strategies. Under the supervision of the Director of Programs, the successful candidate will plan, implement, deliver and maintain evidence-based rehabilitative core correctional programs which may include but are not limited to Thinking for a Change, Decision Points, and generalized programming while using effective correctional intervention principles, primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Theory, and relapse prevention approaches as the basis of program delivery. As a motivated professional, you will provide leadership and direction to both staff and volunteers while working independently and collaboratively within a team. Success in this role relies on strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, youth, community partners, and other stakeholders in a Correctional Centre environment. To be considered for this position, you will have knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and corrections key challenges and strategies. Preference will be given to those whom have comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in risk assessments, case management, institutional programming, community resources and effective correctional interventions. The ideal candidate will have practical experience delivering structured programming, including the assessment and facilitation of specialized Cognitive Behavioural interventions. Preference will be given to applicants who are certified to deliver core correctional programs such as *Thinking for a Change* and *Decision Points*, and who have experience working within an institutional Correctional Centre environment. **You will also need:** - Should you receive a successful offer of employment, you will be enrolled in a paid 11-week Induction Training Program (ITP). - A valid/current Class A, First Aid CPR/AED certificate (must have no less than 12 months remaining), or a valid Class A, CPR/AED and First Aid (completed within three months of employment); and - A valid driver's license. **Physical Requirements** - Effective January 15, 2024, the COPAT requirement for employment will be replaced by a comprehensive medical evaluation completed by a licensed medical practitioner. **What We Offer:** - Dynamic, challenging work for talented individuals; - Competitive salaries; - Comprehensive benefits package including pension; - Extensive and ongoing training; - Inclusive work environments; and - Advancement opportunities.
