Job Role Reporting to the Manager of Security, the Floor Security Shift Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Security unit by ensuring the security, safety and protection of guests, employees, property and company assets and ensuring all duties performed are in accordance with company policies, procedures and government regulations. The position is responsible for performing investigations relating to incidents (criminal, medical, accidents, complaints and missing property) and producing comprehensive incident reports on the subject when required. This position is required to take a leadership role during emergency situations such as fire, power failure, flood, severe weather and natural disaster, bomb threat, crime, use of force, and catastrophic failures and will liaise with outside emergency agencies until the Site Incident Director is on site. The position is responsible for providing leadership and managing the performance of the front-line staff. Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have a post-secondary certificate from a college/trade in correctional studies/criminal justice/business. A minimum of three to six years related work experience representing continuous learning is required. Security/Guard management (e.g. Law enforcement, military or corporate security) Leading and Managing People Computer Literacy and Report Writing An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
