Position Overview The summer Leasing Intern will support the leasing team in day-to-day operations and gain hands-on experience in residential property management. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in real estate, sales, or customer service. The intern will assist with leasing activities, resident relations, and administrative tasks while contributing to maintaining high occupancy and a positive resident experience. Key Responsibilities - Assist in greeting and engaging prospective tenants; support property tours and provide basic information on available units and amenities. - Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits under the guidance of the leasing team. - Support the application process by collecting documentation, organizing files, and assisting with reference checks. - Help prepare lease agreements, renewal documents, and move-in packages. - Maintain accurate records of unit availability, prospect interactions, and leasing activity. - Assist with marketing efforts, including posting listings, updating online advertisements, and monitoring inquiries. - Support coordination of move-ins and move-outs, including scheduling and preparing welcome materials. - Provide friendly and professional customer service to residents and visitors. - Collaborate with the maintenance and property management teams to ensure units are prepared for showings and occupancy. - Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable housing regulations. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in business, real estate, marketing, or a related field. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Customer-service oriented with a positive and professional attitude. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Comfortable using Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management software is an asset. - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. - Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
