Read and interpret blueprints to evaluate or plan plumbing layouts and installations.

Install, maintain and repair plumbing and fixtures.

Installation and repair of various household appliances.

Cut, weld and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings and accessories.

Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance. Handle customer inquiries and respond to tender calls.

Troubleshooting and problem solving.

Make a cost estimate.

Installation, repair and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and fittings in commercial and residential buildings.

Collaborate with general contractors, electricians and other construction professionals. Follow the blueprints and construction plans.

Respond, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.

Perform periodic inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.

Prepare bids, budgets and cost estimates. Keep accurate records of work time, job descriptions and materials used.

Requirements

Over 2 years experience as a plumber.

Have a good working knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems.

Proficiently read blueprints and use plumbing repair tools. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Good listening and communication skills.

Good relationship and patience.

Terms of Employment:• 40 hours per week

Salary:

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
