PWM is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth daily operations across recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and enjoys working with people.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling
Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation and documentation
Maintain candidate and employee records in HR systems
Help organize employee engagement initiatives and events
Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation
Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying timekeeping data
Track attendance, leaves, and other HR metrics
Coordinate training sessions, certifications, and safety programs
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of employment standards and workplace safety regulations
Understanding of shop floor operations and safety culture
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a production-driven environment
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
