As a team we collaborate to solve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growth and ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesThe Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor oversees the installation, repair, and upkeep of mechanical systems and leads the maintenance team to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role involves planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and optimizing machinery performance to minimize downtime.This position reports to the General Maintenance Supervisor.Interpro Pipe + Steel is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy and injury-free environment.Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance staff to ensure timely, high-quality workOversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery, equipment, and systemsConduct regular inspections to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance, training programs and schedules to enhance equipment reliability and safetyEnsure compliance with all applicable safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policiesAssisting in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairsCommunicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize operational disruptionsProvide training, guidance, and performance management for maintenance team membersDocument maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and generate technical reportsRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in the mechanical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship/ Journeyman; 5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role and 2-5 years’ supervisory or lead experienceExperience leading in unionized environment is preferredKnowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, pressure vessels, motorized drive systemsWorking knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures as to safely isolate and secure equipment during maintenance or repairProficient in blueprint reading, P&ID and troubleshooting of mechanical operations of equipment.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and personnel schedulingStrong leadership and communication skillsMust be available and flexible to be on call and work weekends when requiredSubject to both inside and outside environmental conditionsOur total compensation package includes amazing benefits!Competitive wages and bonus opportunitiesFamily medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee costShort and long-term disability programsCompetitive retirement plansEmployer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance optionsPaid vacation and recognized statutory holidaysApprenticeship and career advancement within the companyTuition reimbursementWhile we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerOrion Steel Group, L.L.C. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
