Avana is hiring a full-time Seasonal Landscaper to join our team. This role is expected to run until September, with potential for adjustment based on weather conditions and seasonal needs. There may also be an opportunity for this position to transition into a full-time role.We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be professional, trustworthy, and safety-conscious, with the physical stamina to manage outdoor tasks and the ability to follow directions effectively. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the landscaping and general site maintenance across Avana’s property portfolio.Maintain overall site cleanliness and landscaping across Avana’s property portfolio. Carry out routine lawn care duties, including mowing, trimming, turf management, garbage cleanup and weed control. Complete seasonal tasks such as sprinkler blowouts, exterior waterline checks, and snow removal when necessary.Assist with small landscaping upgrades such asplanting trees and shrubs. Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and small engine tools. Assist with property upkeep tasks such as line painting, sanding, lot cleaning, and shoveling. Conduct weekly vacant suite checks and support appliance moves as needed.Collaborate closely with Avana’s Maintenance and Site Technicians to meet property maintenance needs. Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Skills and Qualifications:

A Chemical Applicator’s License is considered an asset. A Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract is required. The ability to haul a trailer is an asset. Preference to work in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to excellence. Accuracy and attention to detail, possessing excellent interpersonal skills.Heavy lifting, working outdoors, and manual labour tasks are a large focus of the role. A team player with a strong ability to work independently, self-schedule, and efficiently manage their time. Ability to exercise tact and maintain confidentiality at all times.
