As the Office Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the Retirement Management team, handling behind‑the‑scenes activities within a retirement residence. Your primary focus is engaging with residents, ensuring their needs are met, managing resident records, and overseeing accounting, payroll, benefits, and scheduling. You will lead and support a team to consistently deliver an exceptional living experience while maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory standards for a 24/7 operation. Responsibilities
Engage with residents and address their concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Maintain accurate resident records and documentation. Handle accounting functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll & Benefits, and scheduling. Lead and train receptionist staff, managing the front‑desk operations when necessary. Ensure all administrative processes comply with internal policies and regulatory standards. Maintain flexibility to cover shifts and support the 24/7 operational needs. Shape the first impression of new residents through in‑person and phone interactions. Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in an office setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Familiarity with Workday, Kronos, and Yardi operating systems is advantageous. HR knowledge (recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll) is an asset. Supply management and inventory control knowledge is an asset. Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one. Skills for Success
