About the Company TeamBuilder Consulting is partnering with our client, an innovative technology company to hire a Staff Software Developer – AI & Platform leader to help design and build the next generation of AI-powered product capabilities within a highly scaled SaaS platform. About the Role This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building production-grade AI features, LLM-based agents, intelligent automation, and predictive capabilities that operate against real-world operational data. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, building scalable systems, and helping shape how AI is integrated into modern software products. Responsibilities - Design and build AI-powered product features, including LLM-based agents and intelligent automation - Architect and ship scalable production systems end-to-end - Collaborate closely with Data Engineering on retrieval infrastructure, pipelines, and AI data requirements - Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and RAG architectures - Build reliable, scalable, and maintainable distributed systems - Partner with product and engineering teams to translate customer problems into technical solutions - Lead through technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices - Help establish shared tooling, frameworks, and development patterns for AI initiatives Qualifications: - Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production-scale systems - Hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered product features using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks - Strong distributed systems and system design experience - Experience working in ambiguous problem spaces and making pragmatic architectural decisions - Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product teams - Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction - Product mindset with focus on delivering real customer value - Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code Tech Stack: - Go, Scala - React, TypeScript, GraphQL - Python for ML workflows - Kubernetes, AWS - LLMs, RAG architectures, agent frameworks - Distributed systems and observability tooling - Relational + NoSQL data stores Why This Role is Interesting - Opportunity to build real-world AI product capabilities at scale - Work on modern AI systems, automation, and agentic workflows - High level of technical ownership and influence - Collaborate closely with experienced engineering and data leaders - Join a highly technical organization focused on pragmatic, production-grade AI innovation - Work from home environment Pay range and compensation package Potential for up to 230K CDN Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o0c5b
