Part-Time High School Math&Science Teacher Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges is currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning centre. The position is ideal for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Pay:

$18.50 to $20.00 per hour

Position Requirements All tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours: Mon - Fri 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with some Saturdays 10:30am - 2:30pm. A role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation packages are available.Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

University students with excellent knowledge of the current Grades 11-12 math curriculum, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, and vectors.

Teaching certification is an asset.

Experience

Some experience teaching/tutoring grade 11 and 12 math.

Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Responsibilities

Help high school students with their math school work.

Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.

Fill in post‑lesson notes.

Complete daily student communication updates.

Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
