Foundry Worker General Labourer Richmond Hill

Department Production Reports to Supervisor Job Summary The General Labourer is responsible for assisting in different tasks as required in the production/finishing processes. Job Responsibilities Transport raw materials, castings and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment Verify weight of materials and products Pick up castings from the conveyors and place them into buggies Manually load/unload Shotblaster machines Core knockout Operate Pressure Tester unit Operate Punch press machine Sort, pack, crate and package castings Assist machine operators and other workers when required Ensure all Safety Rules and Regulations are followed at all times Use utmost discretion in dealing with company and customers' confidential data Meet production standards as specified in job order and/or ISO documents Responsible for cleaning equipment and work station on a daily basis Operate equipment in a safe manner, including to immediately report any equipment malfunctions May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate Safety Equipment Requirement The use of appropriate safety equipment as described below is a condition of employment and not one of choice.
