Bar Staff/server Richmond Hill

Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming setting for all patrons. This role involves serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for guests in a rapid-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in your role. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS Take customer orders with professionalism and provide excellent customer service Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards Ensure responsible serving of alcohol in accordance with legal requirements and company policies Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business Follow food handling procedures and uphold food safety standards at all times Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service Skills Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Solid customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Knowledge of food safety and food handling procedures in the food industry Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Previous restaurant or food service experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided Ability to serve alcohol responsibly and adhere to legal drinking age regulations Hospitality mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your hospitality skills while providing exceptional service.
