Operating Engineer (Richmond Hill)

What must you have? - Strong mechanical aptitude skills. - Knowledge of HVAC equipment and its operation. - Stationary Engineers Certificate. - Experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers and related equipment. What else do you bring? - Adhering to established standards, procedures and policies. - Ensures that boilers and related equipment is functioning effectively in order to provide a safe, comfortable and efficient environment for patients, staff and visitors. - After conferring with the Chief Engineer, to write job order requests, order parts and make repairs to ensure that all equipment pertaining to Plant Operations is functioning effectively. - Record all required readings and maintain accurate records regarding the operation of Plant Operations. - Perform the appropriate tests on boilers, chillers, condensate tanks to determine proper chemical level as per manufacturer’s instructions. - Proven attendance record. - Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a secure and inclusive environment for all. - Ability to perform the essential duties of the job. - Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring. - Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Mackenzie Health – Excellence, Leadership and Empathy. - Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and exciting health care workplace.
