Logistics Coordinator, Richmond

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking the movement of goods between our manufacturing sites and distribution warehouses, as well as outbound shipments to customers across North America. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a constantly changing logistics environment. **Here’s Who We Are:** Fine Choice Foods started out in 1986 making dim sum by hand as a labor of love in a small shop in Vancouver. Responsibilities:** - Coordinate daily shipments between our warehouses and to customers across North America, including locations in BC, CA, and IN. - Schedule and book freight with carriers for LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments. - Maintain accurate manual shipment tracking records in Excel. - Proactive problem-solving the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they occur, ensuring smooth transportation process. - Communicate with warehouse teams, carriers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any shipping issues or delays. - Monitor inventory movement and update internal systems and tracking spreadsheets to ensure visibility of product availability. - Respond to changing customer requirements and adjust shipping schedules accordingly. - Prepare shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, commercial invoices, meat certificates, customs paperwork for cross-border shipments). - Support logistics cost tracking and assist with freight invoice reconciliation. - Collaborate with production and customer service teams to align logistics activities with demand and manufacturing schedules. - Continuously look for ways to streamline manual tracking processes and improve logistics efficiency. - Other duties as assigned. **Summ! Requirements:** - CITT-Certified Logistics Professional or Completion of SCMA Supply Management Training Certificate and / or completion of a minimum of 2 levels in the SCMP Program. - 2-3 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics and/or Distribution preferably in a food manufacturing setting. - Proficient MS Office with particular emphasis on Excel at an intermediate level - Experience with inventory management and coordination and managing of 3PLs - Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality - Experience with ERP and WMS an asset. This full-time opportunity is on-site at our No. 6 Road location and offers a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $55,000 - $65,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.
