Long haul truck driver (Richmond)

- Education: - Expérience: - Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Tasks - Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions - Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy - Load and unload goods - Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials - Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment - Perform brake adjustments - Perform emergency roadside repairs - Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle - Receive and relay information to central dispatch - Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption - Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo - Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses - Driver's License (Class 1 or A) - Transportation/travel experience - Long-haul - Weight handling - Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) - Personal suitability - Flexibility - Organized - Reliability - Experience - Will train - Support for youths - Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth - Durée de l'emploi: Permanent - Langue de travail: Anglais - Heures de travail: 45 to 50 hours per week Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2naaiy
