Job Title: Workday Orchestration Solution Architect Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Workday Orchestration Solution Architect to lead the design, orchestration, and optimization of enterprise-wide Workday solutions and cross-functional HR technology workflows. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Workday architecture, integration orchestration, automation frameworks, and enterprise transformation initiatives. This role will focus on designing scalable orchestration strategies across Workday modules, integrations, business processes, and external enterprise systems to streamline operations and enhance business agility. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end orchestration of Workday implementation and enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, architecture design, integration strategy, testing, deployment, and post-production support. - Design and implement scalable orchestration frameworks for cross-functional Workday programs involving HR, Payroll, Finance, Security, and third-party enterprise applications. - Drive solution architecture and orchestration workshops with business stakeholders, HR teams, IT leadership, and external vendors to define cohesive enterprise solutions. - Architect and optimize Workday business process orchestration, ensuring seamless automation and workflow efficiency across multiple modules. - Provide strategic guidance on Workday architecture, integrations, security models, reporting frameworks, and orchestration best practices. - Develop reusable orchestration patterns, governance standards, and scalable integration strategies across the Workday ecosystem. - Lead orchestration of Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud integration technologies. - Collaborate with enterprise architecture and cloud teams to ensure Workday orchestration aligns with broader digital transformation initiatives. - Review and optimize Workday configurations, workflows, integrations, and reporting solutions for scalability, performance, and compliance. - Present architecture recommendations, orchestration strategies, and solution trade-offs to executive stakeholders and project teams. - Stay current with Workday releases, orchestration technologies, automation trends, and HR transformation best practices. - Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency using orchestration-driven approaches. - Mentor junior consultants, integration developers, and functional analysts on orchestration frameworks and Workday architecture standards. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. - 15+ years of experience in HR technology and enterprise application architecture. - 8+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Solution Architecture with strong focus on orchestration, integrations, and enterprise workflow automation. - Proven expertise designing and implementing complex Workday Core HCM solutions across multiple functional areas. - Strong understanding of Workday architecture including: - Business Process Framework - Security Framework - Reporting (BIRT, Advanced Reports, Custom Reports) - Integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs) - Enterprise orchestration and workflow automation - Experience orchestrating integrations between Workday and external enterprise platforms such as ERP, Payroll, IAM, Finance, and cloud applications. - Strong knowledge of enterprise integration and orchestration tools/platforms. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and solution design skills. - Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable orchestration solutions. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to executive leadership. - Experience working within large enterprise environments, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or global organizations. - Workday certifications in Core HCM, Integrations, or related modules preferred. - Experience with Workday upgrades, migrations, optimization, and transformation programs. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote consulting workplace.
