Role : TWS Architect Location : Canada - Fully Remote Job Description/ Responsibilities As a TWS Architect, we are looking for someone with progressive experience in implementing highly available HADR and scalable IBM Tivoli Workload Automation and Batch Automation Solutions. In addition, the candidate should have extensive knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows Environments, Scripting (Shell, Pearl) and SQL queries. This position includes all L3/L4 activities that include IWS/TWS/TDWC/eWAS administration on Distributed environments on prem and cloud platforms which includes Installation of Master Domain Managers, Fault Tolerant Agents, Extended Agents for Applications like SAP, Datastage etc. Must have excellent verbal and written communication with conflict management and negotiation skills. In addition, critical problem solving, audit activities and Analytics is key. Responsibilities: Ø Ability to schedule and develop new jobs using TWS/IWA scheduler tool Ø Automate and provide a permanent fix through scheduling to avoid any manual work around. Ø Ability to understand the Client/Applications perspective as well as explain the developers’ view if any. Ø Implement the requirements/changes raised by the application teams or the client in a productive manner. Ø Expected to work along with various application Owners and their teams. Ø Knowledge about FTP and SFTP Ø Need to schedule the jobs in IWA development region and keep track of its implementation till the production Go-Live. Ø To be a part of any planned migration or maintenance activities if need arises. Ø Co-ordinate with testing teams to debug the defects in Development instances. Ø Expected to provide additional support to any new project activities included as a part of our road map in near future. Ø Expected to work with IBM support people in case of any blockage or bug found in the latest IWA version. Ø Co-ordinate with the client/application teams to complete all the project related activities to meet the deadline. Ø Ability to handle the incidents raised regarding IWA and provide a resolution within the breach period. Ø Interact with operations, functional, technical, and various technology teams on a regular basis Ø Review RCAs to ensure the outcome is meaningful, measurable, and trackable for customers Ø Ensure RCA is completed on time and follow through on ETAs for implementation of action items to ensure permanent resolution is completed on time Ø Handle migration project on TWS complete environment Ø Responsibility to Patch the TWS servers as well as agents Ø Experience in TWS event monitoring and workload automation Ø SAP job creation and management in SAP systems Ø Creation and modification of Jobs, JobStreams, plan cycle, Creation of calendar and periodic updating with respect to client requirement Ø Proactively monitoring and scheduling the Jobs, JobStreams and objects on the current planlist using the IWS for Windows/ Unix production and staging environment Ø Install and configure the entire environment to include MDM, BMDM, DM's, FTA's, TDWB, TDWC, and DB2, working directly with application teams to migrate their batch from one environment to another. Ø Development and Support experience in AWS and Microsoft Azure, ASP.Net, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, UNIX, SAP, HANA and Sybase related jobs IT Skills & Qualifications: Ø Extensive experience in IBM Workload Scheduler and Batch Automation Solutions. Ø Very positive experience with DB2 Administration and implementation of HADR. Also familiar with other databases like Oracle, Postgres and SQL Queries. Ø Proven experience in defining production support methodologies and strategies. Ø Excellent programming skills with ability to automate routine processes using Unix shell scripting, PERL, Python, C and C++) Ø Experience in implementing On Demand / Real Time Integrations with TWS and ETL and other external applications such as Service Now, AppDynamics, OBM and Grafana Experience in gathering Business requirements and Designing Functional specifications, designed Mapping documents and user story specifications. Ø Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivated and hardworking with ability to implement business concepts quickly and efficiently.
