Class 1 Truck Driver (Richmond)

Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia. We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading high-reach construction equipment (boom lifts and scissor lifts) throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Monday to Friday, 5:00AM to 1:00PM Starting at $35.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years truck driving experience with a clean driving record. Experience of operating high-reach construction equipment preferred. Please provide a copy of your driver's abstract with your resume. ***** Responsibilities and Duties: - Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. - Safely load rental equipment onto the vehicle, ensuring proper securement and compliance with transportation regulations. - Follow assigned schedules and routes to deliver equipment to customer locations in a timely manner. - Unload equipment at customer sites and complete required delivery documentation and paperwork for confirmation. - Pick up equipment from customer sites and return it safely to the company yard. - Maintain regular communication with the Dispatcher and Dispatch Manager and promptly report any delays, mechanical concerns, safety issues, or customer-related matters. - Operate vehicles in compliance with all provincial and federal transportation laws, company safety standards, and site-specific requirements. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of vehicle safety procedures and load securement practices. - Ability to complete inspection reports and delivery paperwork accurately. - Good communication skills and the ability to follow dispatch instructions. - Physically capable of loading, unloading, and securing equipment. - Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Strong knowledge of the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley road network. Experience, Training, Certification and Education: - Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record. - 3+ year of experience operating Class 1 vehicles, preferably in equipment rental, construction, or industrial environments. - Forklift experience or certification is an asset. - Aerial lift experience or certification is an asset. ***** We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
