The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a freight forwarder coordinator, your role involves overseeing the movement of goods from one place to another, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery. Here's a breakdown of your responsibilities: - Coordination: You'll be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the freight forwarding process, including scheduling shipments, arranging transportation, and managing documentation. - Communication: You'll liaise with clients, carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Explicit and effective communication is crucial to address any issues that may arise during the shipping process. - Documentation: You'll manage the preparation and processing of shipping documents, such as bills of lading, customs forms, and export/import permits, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements. - Customs Clearance: Facilitate customs clearance procedures, including submitting required documentation, coordinating inspections, and resolving any customs-related issues to ensure timely clearance of shipments. - Logistics Management: Oversee the logistics of transportation, including selecting the appropriate carriers, negotiating freight rates, and optimizing routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. - Problem-solving: Address any delays, damages, or other issues that may occur during transit, working quickly to find solutions and minimize disruptions to the supply chain. - Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as insurance coverage for shipments or alternative transportation routes in case of emergencies. - Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and resolving any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
