AVOP Driving Examiner - Vancouver International Airport, Richmond

Securiguard is seeking a full‑time Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP) Examiner to join our team at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Responsibilities

Administer written and practical AVOP examinations for new and returning applicants.

Evaluate applicant driving performance through observed testing and structured assessment criteria.

Ensure all applicants meet the standards outlined in the Vancouver Airport Authority's Airside Traffic Directives.

Provide clear direction and feedback to applicants during examinations.

Maintain accurate records of test results and applicant documentation.

Conduct all testing procedures in a fair, consistent, and impartial manner.

Promote and uphold safety standards within the airside environment.

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.

Clean Driver's Abstract covering the past 5 years.

Valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and D‑class AVOP qualification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Previous experience working in an airside environment.

Strong knowledge of YVRAA Airside Traffic Directives.

Ability to conduct thorough, objective, and unbiased evaluations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Schedule Monday to Friday: 08:00– 16:00 Saturday&Sunday: Off

Compensation Salary: $28.00– $30.50 per hour
