RPT Regulated Pharmacy Technician (Central Fill) This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the pharmacy department including processing prescriptions, dispensing of medications, performing scheduled pharmacy procedures, operation of automated pharmacy machines, shipping prepared prescription products, receiving and organizing pharmacy stock.

Regulated Pharmacy technicians must have completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams. Regulated Pharmacy Technicians must also be registered with the respective College of Pharmacy in the province of employment.

Additional responsibilities

Communication via telephone with patients and multiple London Drugs’ stores

Meet production deadlines for prescription orders and delivery cut-offs.

Operation of the prescription computer

General housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

Successful completion of all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy technician programs

Excellent customer service skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Self starter with a high level of enthusiasm

Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs

Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

Ability to work as a team player and have a collaborative approach

Basic computer skills

Be aware of and promote standards to ensure both employees and visitor’s Health and Safety

Create and maintain a safe, fair and harassment free environment for all employees

Certain positions at London Drugs place an employee at greater risk of potentially contracting Hepatitis (A and B) as a result of the nature of their job. Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, day and evening shifts.
