S ecuriguard is currently seeking a Full-Time an Airside Vehicle Operator''s Permit (AVOP) Examiner to join our team at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). As an AVOP Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of all airside vehicle operators. You will be responsible for administering both written and practical driving examinations, evaluating applicants against the Vancouver Airport Authority''s Airside Traffic Directives. Your work will directly support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the restricted airside environment. Responsibilities: Administer written and practical AVOP examinations for current and renewing applicants Evaluate applicant driving performance through observed testing and structured assessment criteria Ensure all applicants meet the standards outlined in the Airside Traffic Directives Provide clear direction and feedback to applicants during examinations Maintain accurate records of test results and applicant documentation Ensure all testing procedures are conducted in a fair, consistent, and impartial manner Promote and uphold safety standards within the airside environment Job Requirements Valid Class 5 BC Driver''s Licence Clean Driver''s Abstract (past 5 years) Valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) ''D'' AVOP Qualification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) Previous experience working in an airside environment Strong knowledge of YVRAA Airside Traffic Directives Ability to conduct thorough, objective, and unbiased evaluations Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and commitment to safety Schedule Hours of Work: Monday to Friday: 0800 1600 Saturday & Sunday: Off About Us Securiguard Services Limited has been at the forefront of the asset protection arena for nearly fifty years as a leading-edge, cutting-edge security and safety solutions provider.
