Art Teacher (Richmond)

Company Overview: We are a well-established K–7 Learning Center located near Lansdowne Mall, committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. Our diverse programs cater to a wide range of learning needs and interests, including: - Afterschool Programs - Academic Tutoring (English, Math, Chinese, etc.) - Day Camps (Spring, Winter, and Summer) - Arts & Ceramics Classes - Sports Programs (Soccer, Basketball, etc.) Position Summary: We are currently seeking a passionate and creative K–7 Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has experience teaching art to elementary students, and can guide students through a variety of creative projects such as drawing, painting, crafts, and mixed-media activities. The teacher should be able to follow provided lesson plans and also contribute creative ideas for art activities when needed. Qualifications: - Educational background in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related fields - Experience teaching or working with children in Grades K–7 - Ability to design and implement art lesson plans for different age groups - Familiarity with various art materials and techniques (drawing, painting, crafts, mixed media, etc.) - Fluent in English (Chinese or other languages is a plus) - Strong classroom management and communication skills - Responsible, organized, and passionate about working with children - A collaborative team player Key Responsibilities: - Teach art classes for students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 - Design and prepare art teaching plans and creative projects for different age groups - Guide students through hands-on art activities and encourage creativity - Prepare and organize art materials and classroom supplies - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment - Support art-related activities during camps and special programs when required If you're excited about creating meaningful learning experiences and inspiring young learners, we’d love to hear from you!
