Medical Office Assistant (Part time) Location: Richmond, BC Schedule: 2–3 days per week Wage: $25–$30/hour (based on experience) Start Date: Flexible We are a busy, patient-centered medical/ surgical gynecology and maternity clinic looking for a part-time experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to support our care team and help keep clinic operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinic environment. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team while being able to work independently. Curiosity, humility, and willingness to learn are highly valued. ⸻ Qualifications You Have - Experience with Accuro EMR - Strong understanding of clinic workflows - 3–5 years of MOA experience in a clinical setting - Certification from an accredited MOA program - Strong knowledge of medical terminology - Experience with surgical bookings and coordination What You’ll Do You’ll play a key role in both front desk coordination and clinic flow, including: - Manage patient check-in and check-out - Book, confirm, and coordinate appointments - Use Accuro EMR for charting, messaging, and documentation - Prepare and organize patient charts - Process referrals, forms, and requisitions - Surgical booking – assisting with forms, compiling booking packages, booking surgery - Answer phones and respond to inquiries - Support physicians and clinical staff with workflow - Maintain a smooth and efficient clinic schedule - Provide chaperone support/ assist with procedures - Run sterilizing system with knowledge and experience of CSPBC Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) standards ⸻ What We’re Looking For - Experience working as an MOA in a clinical setting - Proficiency with Accuro EMR (required) - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask - Respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered approach - Comfortable using gender-affirming and inclusive language ⸻ This Role Is a Good Fit If You - Enjoy keeping a clinic running efficiently - Are proactive and anticipate team needs - Take pride in being organized and dependable - Want to work in a supportive, collaborative healthcare environment ⸻ Why Work with Us - Supportive and respectful clinic culture - Clear expectations and structured onboarding - Meaningful work supporting patient care - Opportunity to grow within a specialized women’s health practice ⸻ To Apply Please send a brief note about yourself, your experience with Accuro, and your availability.
