Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team, committed to fostering a positive learning workplace for children of diverse backgrounds and needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, childcare, and working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves developing engaging curricula, supporting children's developmental milestones, and collaborating with families and colleagues to ensure a nurturing educational experience. Responsibilities - Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. - Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance. - Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. - Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to share progress and address concerns. - Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral notes. - Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and educational activities. - Manage classroom routines efficiently while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. - Lead by example to demonstrate leadership qualities such as patience, organization, and effective time management. Skills - Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus. - Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues. - Experience in childcare, early childhood education, or special education is preferred. - Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse student populations. - Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and implementing inclusive practices. - Excellent classroom experience with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. - Strong organizational skills and time management to ensure smooth daily operations. - Leadership qualities that inspire trust and motivate children’s learning experiences. - Writing skills for documenting student progress and preparing reports. - Computer operation skills for utilizing educational software and record management systems.
