Senior Wellness / Relaxation Massage Provider (Richmond)

Comfort Cocoons Home Care Ltd. is a dedicated, local home care company based in Richmond, BC. We provide high-quality, compassionate care to seniors directly where they live, including private homes, independent living communities, and long-term care facilities across Richmond. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Wellness / Relaxation Massage Provider to support our elderly clients through gentle wellness and relaxation sessions. Please note: This is a non-registered position. It is ideal for individuals with a background in healthcare who understand the unique needs of older adults and can create a calm, respectful, and supportive experience. Job Description & Scope We are looking for an adaptable individual who is comfortable providing relaxation massage services to all seniors, including those with mobility challenges or age-related health conditions. Key Responsibilities - Deliver gentle head, shoulder, hand, foot, and full-body relaxation massage sessions tailored to the comfort levels of seniors. - Closely monitor client comfort, positioning, and overall well-being during sessions. - Communicate respectfully and compassionously with seniors, their family members, and the Comfort Cocoons team. - Follow all safety guidelines and strictly adapt massage techniques to meet the individual physical needs and health restrictions of each senior. Education & Certification Requirements To ensure the safety and highest quality of care for our seniors, candidates must meet the following criteria: - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically working with seniors and providing massage/wellness sessions. - A medical or healthcare educational background is preferred. - Health Care Assistant (HCA) - Massage Practitioner / Relaxation Massage Certificate or Spa Therapy or Bodywork Certification - International Medical Graduate (IMG) or related healthcare fields - A valid Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) is strictly required. - Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset. Additional Qualifications - Experience supporting older adults with mobility limitations, dementia, or other age-related conditions. - Compassionate, patient, reliable, and deeply respectful of seniors' dignity. - Robust interpersonal and communication skills. - A valid driver's license is preferred.
