We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. As a member of the Personal and Business Banking Team, you’ll build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and exceptional client service. As a Financial Advisor, you’ll act as a single point of contact for clients, helping them plan for today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals, secure their futures, purchase homes, and set up businesses.Responsibilities
Client engagement: focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful; provide tailored advice and solutions in all areas of financial planning, including day‑to‑day banking, investments, lending and estate planning. Network cultivation: establish new client relationships and create a sales plan that converts leads into new clients.Business development: use relationship‑building and networking skills to generate opportunities and deliver bottom‑line results, leveraging CIBC’s credit and investment solutions. Community involvement: increase brand awareness in the community by attending local events, participating in marketing and outreach activities, and generating future opportunities.Qualifications
1–3 years of experience providing financial advice and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets. Certified professional (CIRO‑MFD) with current accreditation and good standing in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) / Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC) / Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC); must meet eligibility requirements for CIRO‑MFD licensing.Certified professional (Quebec) with current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing, successful completion of CIFC or CSC, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC). A plus if completed CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course– Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal&Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).
