Landscape Labourer, Richmond

Landscape Labourer We are looking to hire general construction and landscape labourers/installers to help keep up with our increasing amount of work in commercial and residential landscape installations throughout the lower mainland. We are looking for career‑minded people who have a passion for the work they do. Previous landscape&construction experience is an asset but not required. Training is provided.

Candidates at this level are expected to:

Be legal to work in Canada

Be physically fit and capable of lifting 40-80 pounds regularly

Be able and willing to travel to work sites throughout the lower mainland (having a valid driver’s license would be an asset)

Be able to effectively communicate in English

Adhere to company safety standards and policies

Represent Isidore Landscapes positively to contractors&clients

Work as part of a team or independently on the work site

Typical tasks include:

Manual work including digging, raking, wheelbarrowing etc.

Moving other landscape materials such as paving stones, trees, and construction materials.

Assisting skilled workers with installation tasks such as paving, block wall, irrigation, carpentry, planting trees and shrubs

Site cleanup and garbage collection

Typical project installations include the following:

Interlocking pavers and paving slabs

Concrete block retaining walls

Excavation, grading and placement of aggregates and soil

Drainage systems

Irrigation systemsInstallation of shrubs and trees, green roofs, sod lawns

Exterior carpentry and site furnishings

Starting wage and advancement will be based on:

Related experience or abilities

Reliability, punctuality, professionalism and work ethic

Willingness and ability to learn new skills

Interpersonal and communication skills

Adherence to company safety standards and policies

Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion

Attention to detail, quality and efficiency in completing assigned tasks

Willingness to be a part of a collaborative and encouraging team

Expected Start Date: Immediately

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22 - 25
