Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes through various horticultural and construction activities. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting, applying technical skills to create and sustain beautiful, functional landscapes. The position is suitable for individuals with a passion for gardening, landscape maintenance, and construction, looking to contribute to high-quality outdoor spaces. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure aesthetic appeal and health of landscapes Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for land grading, excavation, or installation projects Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health Use hand tools and power tools for planting, trimming, digging, and other landscaping activities Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or other landscape features Apply horticultural knowledge to select appropriate plants and maintain soil health Monitor landscape conditions and perform pest control or fertilization as needed Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work workplace Requirements Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscape equipment and power tools Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair is a plus Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is desirable Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, planting, and soil management Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment operation or site travel purposes Ability to follow safety guidelines and operate machinery responsibly This role offers an engaging environment where technical skills meet creative outdoor work.
