Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician’s role is to provide preventative maintenance and on call troubleshooting services for plant and plant equipment (i.e., Printing Presses, Laminators, Extruder, Slitting Machines, conveyors etc.). When not troubleshooting technical issues, the Electrician performs regular inspections of machinery, order materials, dispose waste material and research various components and inventory as required. The Electrician maintains constructive relationships with colleagues, internal customers and suppliers, keeps an open dialogue with the team by identifying concerns and opportunities for improvement and adheres to all company policies while contributing to a respectful workplace. You will: Design and install control circuits, troubleshoot and repair various machines such as Printing Presses, Laminators, Extruders, Slitting Machines, Bag Machines, and Gas Fired Web Dryers. Perform maintenance on the buildings and facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Provides on-call duties when necessary. Embrace continuous improvement activities and maintain an open dialogue with the production departments to identify concerns and opportunities for improvement. Deliver information to managers, supervisors, and team leaders in a constructive manner. Adhere to company policies, including Health and Safety, and contribute to a Respectful Workplace. What you have to offer: Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as an Electrician. Knowledge of PLC software (i.e., Allen Bradley, Siemens) Able to design electrical systems and repair electrical equipment. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment at a Journeyman level. Valid Operators Certificate for Forklift, Scissor lift & Genie Boom. (Will train) Computer Literate (Microsoft Office). Printing industry experience is considered a strong asset but not required. Fall Protection and Confined Space Course. (Will train) HVAC experience. Reliable and punctual. Self-motivated and works independently with minimal supervision. Able to speak, read and write effectively in English. Organizational and prioritizing skills. Ability to work 8-hour rotating shifts Monday - Friday (days & afternoons). Bonafide physical requirements to carry out the duties of the role include; standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 35lbs.
