Mechanical Engineer Hemlock Contracting Ltd is a value-added Canadian supplier specializing in X-ray products for the mining and security industries. We provide maintenance services to leading Global Gold Mining Analysis Equipment manufacturers from China and Australia. We are currently seeking several Service Technicians/Engineers to join our team in Canada and US. **Role Overview**: This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance while providing routine and on-demand services for mining analysis systems in Alaska and Nevada,USA and Ontario,NL,Canada **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: · Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems. · Plan and manage projects and prepare materials, cost, and time estimates for machinery and systems. Provide on-call and online technical support for operations and troubleshooting. Travel and perform on-site repairs and diagnostics as needed. · Supervise and inspect the on-site mechanical setup and installation of equipment to meet contractual requirements. · Provide post-installation operational training to customers and technical support to distributor and subcontractor technicians. Perform regular maintenance and inspections to maintain high equipment performance. · Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs. Investigate the cause of unforeseen mechanical failures or maintenance issues. · Prepare reports for service records and operational availability statistics. Coordinate with the sales team to provide a technical solution based on business needs. **Qualifications and Skill Requirements**: - Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years - Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years - Basic IT knowledge is required. - Must hold a valid Driver’s License. - Strong communication and coordination skills with fluency in English; English/Mandarin bilingual applicants are preferred. - Must be able to work independently and be willing to travel within Canada and the USA on short notice. - An Associate’s Degree in Automation, Electronics/Electro-Mechanics/A+ Certification or equivalent experience is preferred but not required. - Prior experience in a Service Engineer role or support role is preferred. **How to Apply**: If you meet the qualifications and are excited about the prospect to join our team, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role. **Contact Information**: Email: Hemlock Contracting Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
