About the Position The Prevention Advisor plays a key role in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving occupational health and safety programs. They support teams in rigorously applying legal and internal requirements, assist supervisors in their prevention responsibilities, and actively contribute to reducing incidents and risks across all operational areas.

Main Responsibilities

Participate in investigations and analyses of incidents, accidents, and hazardous situations, and ensure follow-up on corrective actions.

Conduct regular workplace inspections and recommend necessary corrective or preventive measures.

Support supervisors and workers in safe work planning and the implementation of procedures (work permits, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, working at heights, etc.).

Collaborate in the development, revision, and dissemination of prevention procedures, programs, and tools.

Participate in risk analyses, internal audits, and thematic prevention campaigns.

Identify and resolve health and safety issues in their area of activity and recommend improvement measures.

Design, coordinate, or participate in occupational health and safety projects.

Advise and support supervisors in their role as prevention leaders.

Lead or co-lead training sessions, safety meetings, and health and safety committees.

Contribute to the collection, analysis, and communication of prevention performance indicators.

Actively promote the company’s values, regulations, and policies regarding health and safety.

Serve as a role model for safe behavior and encourage a positive prevention culture.

Perform any other related tasks as part of their duties. Education and

Experience

Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant training.

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or mining environment.

Good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (LSST, RSST, RSSM, LATMP).

Proficiency in computer tools and OHS management platforms.

Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7 (an asset).

General explosives permit (an asset).

Bilingualism (French/English), an asset.

Skills

Excellent communication and engagement skills.

Strong observation, rigor, and analytical abilities.

Collaborative leadership and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Autonomy, sound judgment, and initiative.

Adaptability in a constantly evolving environment.

Working Conditions

Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
