The Registered Dietitian (RD) (CDE), position that is based in Kirkland Lake is responsible for covering both the Timiskaming Diabetes Education Program-North (0.8FTE) and the BRH inpatient clinical nutrition case load (0.2FTE). The RD Timiskaming Diabetes Education Program-North provides community based nutritional and health assessments, nutritional care services, diabetes self-management education, insulin management and behaviour change support for people at risk for diabetes living with type 1 and 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes in the District of Timiskaming. The RD participates in the development, delivery and evaluation of programs and services of the Timiskaming Diabetes Education Program. The RD is responsible for inpatient clinical nutrition assessment, and nutrition care plan implementation. Referrals may include, but are not limited to, enteral and parenteral nutrition, swallowing assessments, malnutrition, etc.Job Summary: New Liskeard position

Education and Certifications

University Degree in Nutrition and approved Dietetic Internship Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario in good standing Certified Diabetes Educator or willingness to attain it within 2 years of hire Skill, Ability&Experience

Dynamic, self-motivated, encouraging and energetic individual.
