Grill Closer--Part-Time (Temiskaming Shores)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Grill Closer to join our restaurant team. This position is a part time and you must be available after transit hours. Examples of shifts can be: 4/5pm to 1am or 7/8pm to 1am. It is key for you to have your own transportation home. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food service and kitchen operations, particularly those experienced in food handling, cooking, and meal preparation. The Grill Closer will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant's kitchen and grilling area are properly closed and cleaned at the end of each shift, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties - Prepare and cook grilled items (including beef, chicken, and bacon) according to restaurant standards and recipes - Must be willing to handle raw beef - Serve customers efficiently and courteously during shift hours - Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food handling and meal preparation - Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively - Close the kitchen by cleaning grills, cooking surfaces, utensils, and work areas thoroughly - Restock supplies as needed to prepare for the next day’s service - Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and secure work environment Experience - Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred - Knowledge of food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation - Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting - Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for cleanliness and safety - Previous kitchen or restaurant experience will be considered an asset but is not mandatory for highly motivated candidates This role is perfect for individuals passionate about food service operations who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
