Join BC Ferries as a Customer Service Attendant in Swartz Bay, where you can deliver excellent passenger service in a fast-paced, seasonal position. This role involves food serving, sanitation, and supporting ferry operations.
In this customer-focused position, you will work under the Chief Steward to ensure that all food and beverage orders are accurately taken and served. Your key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in passenger areas and performing housekeeping duties, especially during busy travel times. Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities:• Take food and beverage orders from passengers • Portion and serve menu items from the steam table • Maintain cleanliness of tables and chairs • Perform comprehensive cleaning of service areas • Assist in marine emergency situations as required
Requirements:• Minimum one year of relevant customer service experience • Must possess Seafarer's Medical and Food Safe Level 1 • Serving It Right Certification needed upon hiring • Preference for Occupational First Aid Level 3 • Ability to manage tasks under pressure
