Water and Sewer Maintenance Worker, Central Saanich

Elevate public infrastructure with the District of Central Saanich as a Water and Sewer Labourer. Collaborate in various maintenance and repair tasks within the water distribution and sewer collection systems.

This full-time position supports the Engineering Department, reporting to the Water and Sewer Supervisor. You’ll engage in semi-skilled tasks, including inspection, record maintenance, and hands-on repairs. Your work will ensure safety and reliability within public utilities while maintaining strong community relations.

Key Responsibilities:• Perform maintenance and repairs on water and sewer systems • Maintain records for pumps, meters, and hydrants • Conduct sewer inspections and video assessments • Operate municipal vehicles and heavy equipment • Respond to public inquiries and maintain good relationships

Requirements:• Grade 12 completion or equivalent • Three years in water/sewer operations • EOCP Level 1 certification for operations • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License • Current Traffic Control Certification
