Shift Hours

Wednesday from 2300-0700 hours, Thursday-Friday from 1900-0700 hours, and every other Saturday from 1900-0700 hours. Salary

Starting at $43.97 (plus shift premiums and differential and $2.15 per hour) Summary of Position

Under the general direction of the Director of Care (DOC), this is a leadership role that involves the effective management of the unit(s) during an assigned shift. The RN is accountable for his/her own practice and is responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the BC College of Registered Nurses.Benefits

Responsible for assessing, coordinating, supervising, administering and evaluating resident care in the assigned area Contributes to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care, including attending and providing input into multidisciplinary care planning meetings and resident and family conferencesResponsible for ensuring procedures are followed during a resident admission, discharge and transfer Provide initial and ongoing physical and psychological assessment of resident, reporting any significant changes to the DOC Reports and documents significant physiological and psychological changes in resident conditionProcesses orders as per Medication Delivery policy Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized school of Nursing Current registration with BCCNM Must maintain current CPR and basic First Aid certification Previous residential care experience preferred and a genuine interest in working with the elderly and chronically ill required Demonstrated clinical competence, organizational and interpersonal skillsLeadership skills and ability to facilitate team building, change and resource management Well‑developed analytical, judgment, decision‑making, and conflict resolution abilities Strong competency with operating computers and health related technology Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environmentAdditional Requirements

A criminal record check is required pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act for working with vulnerable seniors. TB test result is also required. Pay: From $43.97 per hour. Location&Commute

Work Location: In person. Sidney, BC V8L 2C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required). Education&Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). Experience: Long term care: 1 year (preferred). License&Certification

Licence/Certification: BCCNM (required). First aid and CPR (preferred).
