Purpose of the Position Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will support the painter in the department’s daily activities and prepare parts for painting.
Responsibilities
Clean parts prior to masking and sanding
Sand and mask parts before painting
Strip parts when required
Perform touch-ups on parts
Prepare the paint booth according to usage frequency (filter changes)
Polish or soak the tools required for painting (hooks and racks)
Clean sandblasting and painting equipment
Assist the painter as needed
Follow safety standards
Perform all other related duties
Job Requirements Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Training in industrial painting or surface treatment (an asset)
Technical Skills
Knowledge of AS9100 standards (an asset)
Knowledge of practices in the aviation industry (an asset)
Personal Skills
Strong attention to detail
Manual dexterity
Teamwork
Time and priority management
