Handyman / General building maintenance technician

Maintenance Mirabel Full Time PMR is currently looking for a skilled, versatile, and experienced Handyman / General building maintenance technician to ensure the general maintenance, repairs, and proper functioning of its facilities located in Boisbriand and Mirabel, with occasional travel to the United States depending on operational needs.Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and upkeep of our buildings. The successful candidate must be able to respond quickly to various technical issues and complete required work in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.Main Responsibilities

Perform regular inspections of buildings and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment Diagnose and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as doors, windows, hardware, furniture, and equipmentPerform minor and major repair work, including painting, carpentry, and general adjustments Maintain outdoor areas, including snow removal, shoveling, window cleaning, lawn mowing, and seasonal maintenance Collaborate with external contractors when required and follow up on completed work Coordinate and monitor work performed by service providersManage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Maintain records of maintenance and repair work performed Follow occupational health and safety standards and use tools and equipment safely Maintain a clean and safe work environment What we’re looking for

Relevant experience in general building maintenance or a similar position Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and construction Ability to use various hand and power tools Physical dexterity and ability to perform tasks that may require heavy liftingAutonomous, resourceful, and strong sense of priorities Availability to travel between sites Valid driver’s license required Basic knowledge of English (an asset for U.S. travel) Benefits and working conditions
