Cogency Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Appian Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise BPM and workflow automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Appian architecture, process modeling, integrations, and low‑code application development, along with strong leadership and problem‑solving capabilities.Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of Appian-based enterprise applications and workflow solutions Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams across the full SDLC Design scalable and efficient solutions using Appian BPM, SAIL, and process models Develop and optimize:

Appian interfaces Process models Business rules Integrations

Integrate Appian with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and third‑party platforms Participate in architecture discussions and technical solutioning Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and production issues Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and project teamsConduct code reviews and enforce development best practices Support CI/CD, deployment, and release management activities Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical capability building Required Skills&Experience

8+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Appian BPM development Proven experience as an Appian Tech Lead or Senior Appian Developer Strong technical understanding of:

Appian SAIL Process Models Records Expression Rules Integration Objects Appian Architecture

Hands‑on experience with:

REST/SOAP integrations SQL and relational databases Web APIs and enterprise integrations

Solid understanding of:

BPM concepts Workflow automation Low‑code platform architecture

Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills

Appian certification(s) preferred Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated environments Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models Key Competencies
