The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Head of Section MAP Engineering (Evening Shift) to join our MAP Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the Engineering, Methods, Operations and Quality teams. You will be part of the MAP Liaison Engineering team responsible for developing engineering solutions to support production. Report directly to Head of MAP Liaison. Your engineering team will be responsible to design, analyze and disposition repairs for non‑conformances in a timely manner, while maintaining design integrity, in a highly schedule‑driven environment. Ensure team adherence to company MRB and QA procedures.Be responsible for managing the development needs and resources for your department. Manage your team to ensure adequate coverage/support to production, in a work environment that will require coverage on second shift and on week‑ends. Interact efficiently with other Engineering and non‑engineering groups.Be accountable for ensuring the alignment of your group with the Airbus Operating System. Master, teach, and role model the System across all operational levers (safety, quality, productivity, human development and cost). In addition to offering day‑to‑day MRB support, your team will participate in the corrective action system, by suggesting design changes, in line with achieving excellence objectives.Inspire others; engage your team and maintain a high level of team performance. Your boarding pass
You hold a Bachelor in aerospace or mechanical engineering or Equivalent Technical Degree. You have a minimum of 5 years MRB experience. Design experience in Aerospace is an asset. You possess excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation technical requirements. Experience in management within an aerospace environment is an advantage.You have an understanding of the principles of lean manufacturing. You possess the skills to plan and organize to ensure the attainment of results. You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high‑pressure partner/supplier team setting.You are entrepreneurial. You have strong French and English written/verbal communication skills. Compliance&Integrity
