Job Title Process and Performance Engineer
Job Description Do you have significant experience in industrial engineering or equivalent, have you worked in the manufacturing or aerospace sector, and are you looking to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you!
The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Process and Performance Engineer to join our team within the Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Engineering department based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). Your role will be to optimise the industrial performance of the A220, leading performance analysis, line balancing (SLB), and improvement roadmaps to optimise series production.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and optimise transverse industrial performance using key indicators (e.g., efficiency, production rate, cycle time, etc.).
Design and maintain Standard Line Balancing (SLB) for all production configurations.
Generate and publish the final balancing for each aircraft in production.
Perform root‑cause analyses (e.g., Pareto) for hazards and bottlenecks.
Propose concrete and measurable action plans to improve process efficiency.
Document and manage operational constraints per workstation to optimise planning.
Lead the improvement roadmap and Return‑of‑Experience (REX) initiatives with the Manufacturing Engineering MFT team.
Ensure link with upstream and downstream workstations and act as the point of contact with the Autonomous Production Team (EAP).
Profile
Hold a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Have solid professional experience in an industrial environment, preferably manufacturing or aerospace (minimum 3–5 years).
Be proficient in industrial performance concepts, time analysis, and line balancing (SLB).
Have demonstrated expertise in production flow modelling (PERT) and root‑cause analysis methods (Pareto).
Be rigorous, proactive, and possess strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Be able to work independently and interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams (production, quality, finance, methods, engineering).
Be proficient in French and English.
