Airbus Atlantic is a global leader in aerostructures, #2 in aerostructures, #1 for pilot seats and in the Top 3 for premium passenger seats. Our Mirabel site is recruiting for the position of Cockpit Design Team Leader. Position Summary
Reporting to the A220 cockpit design supervisor, the team leader is primarily responsible for managing a design team of 5–10 designers and ensuring team performance. Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the design of primary structure, secondary structures and system installations within their scope complies with technical and customer requirements, program needs and manufacturing requirements. Communicate major technical input data to the design team within their scope (customer requirements, program requirements, boundary plans, standards list, etc.).Coordinate and organize the team's various activities. Ensure that priorities are respected by the technical team under their responsibility. Ensure the team delivers all deliverables meeting cost, quality and schedule objectives. Implement and monitor indicators that demonstrate team performance (e.g., OTD, OQD, EVM).Prepare and provide progress reports and technical issues/risks for which they are responsible. Support the development of junior engineers through mentoring. Organize and maintain good team cohesion. Participate in the analysis and implementation of changes with the program, supply chain, production and customers.Validate impact analyses for change incorporations. Provide the technical interface with the client counterpart and technical interface with suppliers. Provide expertise to resolve non-conformity issues of parts and assembly line problems. Provide visibility on the technical scope to management and the program (technical summaries, technical progress status, identification of technical risks).Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Minimum 10 years' experience in aerostructure design. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements related to the design and manufacture of primary structure, secondary structure and system installations.Knowledge of airworthiness requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA) affecting aerostructures and system installations. Familiarity with aeronautical design processes and methods (Airbus Atlantic, Bombardier, Airbus Canada methods). Knowledge of configuration management rules. Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of project management and change management. Bilingual English/French (spoken and written).
