In‑home caregiver – private home – AuVe… family NOC Job Code/Title: 44101—Family Caregiver

Terms of employment:

Full‑time position (30–40 hours per week). Flexible or split‑shift schedule required; weekend work may be required. Job start: October 16, 2026.

Language requirement:

French or English.

Salary:

Wage offered is between $17 and $21 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate changes for this field of work in Quebec.

Location:

AuVe lives in the town of Amos, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood; school and parks are nearby. The city is located 600 km from Montreal, or a 7‑hour drive. It is a small rural town specializing in mining.

Responsibilities

Help with the care of three children aged 15, 14, and 12, where the eldest and youngest have chronic illnesses.

Supervise children when parents are not at home and accompany them to and from appointments.

Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.

Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.

Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.

Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children; kitchen clean‑up required.

Perform general housework, including doing laundry and ironing.

Dust rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications

Must have completed at least the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.

Must have at least one year of work‑related experience as a caregiver or equivalent training.

Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
