POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Résidence du Verger, located in St-Jérôme, offers seniors a warm and safe environment while respecting each individual's specific needs with integrity and privacy.

We are currently seeking a server and dishwasher for a permanent part-time position, 30 hours per week, daytime hours, according to the following schedule:

Service: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., weekends 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Dishwashing: 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one weekend out of two.

One weekend out of two.

Evening shift premium applies.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean the equipment used after each use (pot, pans, stove, etc.)

Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to hygiene and sanitation standards.

Wash the dishes after each meal and put them away in the appropriate places.

Food Services

As part of the team, ensure the cleanliness of the dining rooms floors, tables and chairs (may require light housekeeping chores, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning etc.).

Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork

Greet clients and orient new residents by proposing their seat at an appropriate table

Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable

In cooperation with the kitchen staff, prepare daily andà la carte menus and answer residents' questions regarding meals and preparation

Manage guests' reservations and ensure their comfort

Perform other related duties

Take orders, noting specific requests and following-up with the kitchen staff

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset

Good team player

Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset

Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)
