Could you be the full-time Train Mechanical Interface Engineer (TMIE)– F/H in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?
Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in mechanical integration and interface management in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of mechanical subsystems within the overall train architecture, driving excellence in design and functionality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams such as project teams, industrialization, and design-to-cost specialists, define and manage mechanical interfaces, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing digital mock-ups (DMU), tolerance analysis, and perceived quality activities, but also contribute to the validation and certification of the train through physical mock-ups and verification plans.
We’ll look to you for:
Defining and managing the mechanical interfaces between the train and its subsystems, ensuring proper volume allocation and compliance with functional requirements
Organizing and facilitating collaboration between project teams, industrialization, and other key stakeholders
Overseeing digital mock-up (DMU) management, tolerancing, and perceived quality initiatives
Ensuring consistency in cross-functional performance (e.g., weight, dimensions) and compliance with industry standards
Participating in the validation and certification processes of the train
Driving continuous improvement in mechanical integration processes and sharing lessons learned

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience or understanding of mechanical integration and interface management

Ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive innovation
